Should I consider using synthetic oil?
It generally costs at least half the price of synthetic oil. – If you’re diligent about oil changes, you should be fine using conventional oil, so long as your owner’s manual indicates it’s OK. – Having your oil changed more often can alert a mechanic to a serious problem developing with your car’s engine
How often should my car be serviced?
The owner’s manual that comes with every vehicle specifies how often a service is required. As a rule of thumb all vehicles should be serviced at least once a year and/or every 12,000 miles. Regular servicing is vital to the prolonged lifespan of your vehicle and will save you money in the long run.
How do I know when my tyres need replacing?
The tyres can lose contact with the road, thus leading to steering and braking difficulties. Therefore don’t wait until the tread depth has reached the legal limit of 1.6 mm before replacing your tyres. Summer tyres should be changed when the tread depth reaches 2 to 2.5 mm and winter tyres at 4 mm.
